ELKINS - Shae Tomasik twirled a two-hitter and Bridgeport erupted for five runs in the sixth inning en route to a 9-1 win over Elkins Thursday in Big 10 Conference play at Elkins Middle School.
Tomasik finished with 10 strikeouts and also knocked in three runs at the dish for the Indians (11-6).
Madelyn Strait also had a two-run double.

Alyssa Harper took the loss for the Tigers (8-7). She also had a double in the sixth that led to the lone run of the day for the hosts.
Elkins will return to action at 6 p.m. Monday at home against Buckhannon-Upshur.

MILL CREEK - A trio of home runs Thursday helped Pendleton County cruise past Tygarts Valley in Potomac Valley Conference action.
Caitlin Keplinger pitched three innings to earn the victory. She struck out one and walked one.
Brittany Huffman, Hillary Ord and Madison Mowery homered for the Wildcats. Huffman finished the day 2 for 2 with four RBIs and three runs scored. Ord was 1 for 3 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Mowery was 2 for 3 with four RBIs and two runs scored.
Charity Lower took the loss. She gave up 19 runs on 15 hits and struck out three batters.
Danielle Johnson and Lower got the hits for the Bulldogs.
Tygarts Valley will host Richwood at 5 p.m. Monday, while Pendleton County will entertain Grafton at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Danica Rogers took the loss for the Yellow Jackets, allowing 11 run on 11 hits, striking out three and walking six.
Kare' Breeden earned the win, allowing just one run on five hits, fanning three and walking one.
Beth Cook went 2 for 4, Brooke Riggleman 2 for 3 with a double and RBI and Rogers 1 for 3 with an RBI for Moorefield.
