ELKINS - Davis & Elkins captured its sixth straight game by sweeping Salem International Saturday at Harpertown Field.
The Senators won the lidlifter, 8-1, and completed the weekend sweep with an 18-11 decision in the nightcap.
Michael Paratore (2-4) tossed a five-hitter in the opening game, striking out six and walking two.
Brad Banzhoff and Matt Moceri each knocked in two runs to lead the Senator offensive attack.
In the second game, Moceri knocked in five runs, while Ryan Dodson and Lance Vannoy added two each.
D&E outhit the Tigers, 16-15, as Vannoy, Dodson and Phelps each had three safeties. Dodson also hit his first career home run.
Marcus Warner (1-6) worked 6 1/3 innings to record the win. He gave up seven runs on 10 hits, fanned six and walked five. Christian Scott finished in relief, surrendering four runs on five hits with one strikeout.
D&E will visit California, Pa., at 1 p.m. Tuesday for a doubleheader.
AB takes two from Cedarville
PHILIPPI - The Alderson Broaddus baseball team completed a four-game sweep over G-MAC foe Cedarville Saturday at Jank Funk Field.
The Battlers took the opener, 9-1, and the nightcap, 7-6.
Marquis Collier had three RBIs to lead the AB offense in the lidlifter, while Brandon Quay had a two-run double and David Bryan was 3 for 4 with two runs scored and an RBI.
Jeff Conley earned the win in a complete-game effort, allowing just one run and fanning 12.
David Bancroft took the setback for Cedarville in 4 2/3 innings. He gave up seven runs.
Conley had a two-run homer for the Battlers in the second game, while Michael Mnich was the winning pitcher, allowing four runs in six innings.
AB is scheduled to host Seton Hill at 3 p.m. today.

ELKINS - Danielle Norton's RBI single in the bottom of the eighth inning gave Davis &?Elkins a dramatic 3-2 win over Alderson Broaddus in the second game of a G-MAC doubleheader Saturday at Joni Smith Field.
Katelyn Norton started the eighth with a double and was replaced by pinch runner Kaylee Kreitz, who scored the winning run on Danielle Norton's single.
Amber LaBille earned the win in a complete-game showing. She gave up just two runs on six hits, striking out six and walking one.
AB took the opening game, 10-0, as Megan LaFon twirled a one-hitter, striking out seven and walking one.
D&E will return to action at 3 p.m. Tuesday at home against Cedarville, while the Battlers will visit Salem International on Friday.
