Robert Jay Mowery, 36, of Harman, died May 25, 2014.
He was born June 2, 1977, in Elkins, a son of Ralph Ray Mowery Sr. and Caroline Sue Simmons Mowery.
Survivors include his father, Ralph Ray (Vikki) Mowery Sr. of Harman, and his mother, Caroline Sue Simmons of Fairmont; two brothers, Ralph Ray Mowery II and Jonathan (Jenny) Mowery, both of Harman; one sister, Malva (Harry) Wilhelm of Keyser; three uncles, Danny (Sandra) Mowery and Richard (Gloria) Mowery both of Harman and Jeff Simmons of Franklin; six aunts, Joy Lu (Ronald) Selders of Elkins, Grace (David) Bennett of Onego, Wanda (Joseph) Bishop of Harman, Pauline (Boyd) Vandevander of Summersville, Fla.; Linda Higgins of Florida, and Pat and Earl Smith of Franklin; and one nephew, Dakota Reedy.
He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John and Mabel Mowery; maternal grandparents, Robert and Tressa Simmons; one sister, Melissa Diane Mowery; and one uncle, Roger Simmons.
Robert worked as a carpenter in the construction business. He enjoyed hunting, 4-wheeler riding and being with friends.
Friends will be received today at Dry Fork Assembly of God Church from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Ric Lewellen officiating. Interment will follow in the Roy Cemetery in Dry Fork.
