To celebrate the 100th anniversary of Mother’s Day, members of John Hart Chapter DAR visited the Anna Jarvis Birthplace Museum in Webster. A tour of the house was enjoyed. Following a picnic lunch at the museum pavilion, visits also were made to the International Mother’s Day Shrine and Museum in Grafton and to the Grafton National Cemetery. Pictured are Barbara McCreary, Mary Anger, Deb Bonwell and Janice Teets. On May 20, 1914, President Woodrow Wilson signed a bill recognizing Mother’s Day as a national holiday.
