Ruth B. Langbein, 73, of Buckhannon, died Monday, June 2, 2014, at her home in Buckhannon.
She was born Nov. 21, 1940, in Doddridge County, a daughter of the late Martin Luther and Nina E. Nicolson Devericks.
On Jan. 26, 1959, she married Ernest Langbein, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Ernest H. Langbein Jr. and wife, Diane, of Egg Harbor Township, N.J., and Okey F. Langbein and girlfriend, Dawn Alderman, and Fredrick M. Langbein and fiancee, Delora Lee, all of Buckhannon; three grandsons, Joshua Langbein of Buckhannon and Dale and Benjamin Langbein both of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; one granddaughter, Jessica Marie Langbein of Egg Harbor Township, N.J.; and four brothers.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.
Mrs. Langbein was a baker at the Western Steer Steakhouse in Weston. She was a member of Elks Lodge 1736, Moose Lodge 598 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Women's Auxiliary 3663. She loved spending time in her flower garden and watching her birds. Ruth was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and dearly loved spending time with her family. The family would like to send a special thanks to Delora Lee and Dawn Alderman for the special care they gave Ruth during her time of need and to all those who took the time to get to know her.
A private memorial service will be conducted at a later date.
