Thomas Jay "Tommy" Letvin, a resident of Northville, Mich., passed away June 3, 2014.
Tom was born March 8, 1951, in Detroit, Mich., a son of the late Abe Letvin. He is survived by his mother, Betty Letvin; his wife of 37 years, Dee Letvin; daughters, Abbie Letvin and fiance, Kevin Sack, and Samantha Letvin. He also is survived by two brothers Brian (Karen) Letvin of Sedalia, Colo., and Marc (Peggy) Letvin of Oak Park, Mich.; his mother-in-law, Helen White of Elkins; sister-in-law, Karen Vance of Coalton; brother-in-law, Christopher Driscoll of Crystal Springs; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Tom was the CEO and president of Hulet Body Co. in Detroit, Mich., for more than 40 years. Started in 1919, by his grandfather, Tom was the third generation in the family business. He was a graduate of Southfield High School and attended Ferris State University where he studied engineering. He and his wife, Dee, were members of Temple Israel of West Bloomfield and a member of the National Truck Equipment Association.
