Cleona M. Bennett, 72, of Buckhannon, died Wednesday, June 11, 2014, in Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
She was born Jan. 24, 1942, in Randolph County, a daughter of the late Ben and Nancy Tenney Brady.
She is survived by two daughters, Kristina Burr and fiance, Bill Rohr, and Nichole Bryant of Buckhannon; three brothers, Everette and wife, Connie Brady, and Jerry Brady, both of Buckhannon, and Larry and wife, Michelle Brady, of Rock Cave; three sisters, Sue and husband, Larry Grubb, Sheila and husband, Johnny Loudin, both of Ellamore and Jane Hartley of Weston; three granddaughters, Heather and Ashley Burr and Cheyenne Bryant, all of Buckhannon; two grandsons, John Allen Burr and Anthony Bryant, both of Buckhannon; three great-granddaughters, Ariah and Jaiden Brown and Presley Tenney, all of Buckhannon; two great-grandsons, Collin Rice and Ryder Tenney both of Buckhannon; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Walter Brady; son-in-law, Tony Bryant; sister-in-law, Kay Brady; and brother-in-law, Joe Hartley.
Mrs. Bennett was employed by Reidboard Sewing Factory for many years, was a volunteer at Holbrook Nursing Home and Upshur County Headstart and a Christian by faith. She enjoyed playing bingo.
The family will receive friends at Heavner and Cutright Funeral Chapel today from noon-2 p.m., the funeral hour, with the Rev. Wease Day officiating. Interment will follow in Talbott Cemetery.
