Bernard Jay "Bernie Mac" Lipps, 48, of Buckhannon, went home to be with the Lord, while under the care of People's Hospice, Sunday, June 22, 2014.
He was born Aug. 11, 1965, in Buckhannon, a son of the late Riley and Annabell Spore Lipps.
On Oct. 29, 1995, he married Mary Jane Landis, who survives.
Also surviving are one son, David Lipps, of Buckhannon; two stepsons, John and Chris Dean, of Buckhannon; one grandson, Domanic James Lipps, of Weston; one granddaughter, Lillian Paige Lipps of Buckhannon; two sisters, Mary Perrine, of Century and Faye Zirkle, of Beverly; five brothers, Blaine Lipps, of Buckhannon, Ernie Lipps, of Gassaway, Woody Riffle, of Buckhannon, Dan Lipps, of Buckhannon and Riley Lipps, of Century; his best friend, Chris Esquer, of Buckhannon; and a special friend, Erica Wright of Lost Creek.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Jonathan Lipps; two sisters, Barbara Cottrell and Annamae Lipps; and two brothers, Danny Lipps and Delmas Riffle.

Friends will be received at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home today from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Jerry Murrell officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Cemetery at Hodgesville.
