Ellet Wilson "Jack" Osburn Jr., 90, of Buckhannon, died Thursday, July 10, 2014, in United Hospital Center in Bridgeport.
He was born June 3, 1924, in Ellamore, a son of the late Ellet Wilson and Lillie Belle Lamb Osburn.
On June 27, 1953, he married Imelda Hawkins, who survives.

Also surviving are three daughters, Judy Long and husband, John, of Bethesda, Md., Debra Garnes of Charleston and Jackie Shaner and husband, Jeff, of Raleigh, N.C,; one granddaughter, Ashley Long of Bethesda, Md.; four grandsons, Nathaniel and Christopher Garnes both of Charleston, Ellet "Mick" Shaner and Jack Shaner both of Raleigh, N.C.; one sister, Evelyn McIntyre of Buckhannon; and a son-in-law, Clifford Garnes of Charleston.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sarah Miller; and four brothers, Richard, Henry, John and Frances Osburn.
Mr. Osburn was a case examiner for the state of West Virginia. He was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Buckhannon. He served in the Navy during World War II.
Friends will be received Sunday, July 13, from 5-8 p.m. at Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home. He will lie in state from noon to 1 p.m., the funeral hour, Monday at Faith Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Davis officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Union Church Cemetery at Tallmansville. Upshur County Honor Guard will provide military honors at the graveside.
