Essie Kathryn Flint, 74, of New Martinsville, died Wednesday, July 16, 2014, in Ohio Valley Medical Center, Wheeling, following an extended illness.
She was born July 31, 1939, at Jacksonburg, a daughter of the late Homer Lee and Sarah Alice (Dulaney) White.
On April 30, 1962, she was married to William Edward "Bill" Flint, who preceded her in death Jan. 3, 1985.
Survivors include six daughters, Deborah Flint, with whom she made her home, in New Martinsville, Melison Sue DeSimone and Marilyn Lou Cervenak, both of Weirton, Barbara Loy of Reader, Billie Jo Green of Elkins, and Mary Lena Flint of Belington; one son, Timothy Ray Flint of Cameron; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Kathryn Jean Flint, and by six sisters and eight brothers.
Mrs. Flint was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be conducted from Schoonover - Stemple Funeral Chapel, 609 Crim Ave. in Belington at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 20. Pastor Judy Flynn will officiate, and interment will follow in Belington Fraternal Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 2-9 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m., the funeral hour Sunday.
