KERENS - Mother Nature sprung a quick shower over Elkins Raceway last Saturday, just as the Darren's Pizza Shack Mini Wedges started lining up in the chute.
After an hour delay, a harder shower dumped more water on the 3/8-mile oval, forcing track officials to cancel racing for the fifth time this season.
That will now set up this Friday's slate.
