BUCKHANNON - With field renovations at Cebe Ross Field still being completed, West Virginia Wesleyan's regular-season opener will now be played at Buckhannon-Upshur High School.
The Bobcats will battle Mountain East Conference rival the University of Charleston at 1 p.m., Sept. 6, at Freal "Red" Crites Memorial Stadium.
The first phase of the renovation project at Ross Field currently involves the installation of a synthetic turf system, a new eight-lane track surface and the development of the infrastructure for lights.

Workers continue renovations at West Virginia Wesleyan’s Cebe Ross Field. Improvements at the field will not be completed before the Sept. 6 season opener against the University of Charleston, forcing the game to be moved to B-UHS.
Wesleyan will begin fall preseason drills at 4 p.m. Thursday.
The Bobcats went 5-5 last season under first-year head coach George Shehl.
Top returnees for 2014 include junior defensive back Antonio Harris, senior quarterback Jeremy Musselman and junior linebacker Mike Savage.
All three were recently named to the USA College Football preseason All-American team.
Harris was selected to the second team, Musselman the third team and Savage an honorable mention choice.
