GRAFTON - The Elkins Otters boys swim team captured the North Central West Virginia Summer Swim League Championship held recently.
The meet, which was held at the Grafton Municipal Pool, featured 12 teams from around the region.
The Otters finished with 220 points over the two-day event. The Buckhannon Swim Club finished second with 201 points, while the Barbour County Swim Team was eighth with 74 points.

Winning titles for the Otters were the 15-18-year-old 200-meter freestyle relay team (Daniel Toney, Brendan Cain, Tyler Kenney and Micah Toney), the 9-10 100-meter medley relay team (Braxton Kenney, Izaak Whetsell, Luke Anger and Andrew Shiflett), the 15-18 200-meter medley relay team (Daniel Toney, Brendan Cain, Micah Toney and Tyler Kenney), Isaac Anger (7-8, 25-meter freestyle 50-meter backstroke, 25-meter breaststroke, 50-meter freestyle), Luke Anger (9-10, 25-meter freestyle, 25-meter butterfly), Micah Toney (13-14, 200-meter freestyle, 100-meter butterfly, 100-meter freestyle), Alex Rosencrance (13-14, 50-meter breaststroke) and Brendan Cain (15-18, 100-meter freestyle).
The Elkins Otters girls finished fifth with 121 points. The Harrison Area YMCA Swim Team won the meet with 483 points, while the Buckhannon Swim Club was third (151) and Barbour County Swim Team seventh (58).
Tayler Lee placed second in the 15-18 100-meter backstroke to lead the Otters. She was also third in the 50-meter freestyle and 100-meter freestyle.
Lilly Anger, meanwhile, was runner-up in the 6-U 25-meter breaststroke and Lauren Cain second in the 15-18 50-meter backstroke and third in the 50-meter butterfly.
