Douglas "Brent" Tingler, 66, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Monday morning, Aug. 11, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He had been bravely battling cancer for the last 3 1/2 years and fought hard for himself and his loved ones.
He was born Saturday, July 10, 1948, at San Diego, Calif., a son of the late Verledo Frederick Tingler and Betty June Tingler.
Brent graduated with the class of 1966 from Fort Hill High School in Cumberland, Md., and then received his pilot's license in 1967.
