William Joseph "Joe" Marker, 74, of Route 1, Keyser, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, in Hampshire Center, Romney.
Born in Buckhannon, on June 27, 1940, he was the son of the late William C. and Geneva (Nesbitt) Marker.
Mr. Marker was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Westvaco. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, boating and his collection of antique cars.
He is survived by two daughters, Dr. Marnie Jo Marker and Lori Abraham of Wheeling and Lori Lee Paugh and "Moe" (Darius) of Springfield; two sisters, Joan Plant of Elkins, and Janet Gainer and Del of Quiet Dell. He is also survived by one granddaughter, Chelsea Leigh Paugh of Springfield.
The family wishes to thank Joe's neighbors for the kindness and care given to him through the years.
Friends and family will be received at Markwood Funeral Home Friday, Aug. 15, from 11 a.m. to noon. Funeral services will be conducted at Markwood Funeral Home at noon, following the visitation, with the Rev. Vickie K. Minnich officiating. Interment will follow in Potomac Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Heavner, Tim Cessna, Bob Whetzel, Josh Paugh, Marshall Paugh and Darius "Moe" Paugh.
