Juanita Ruth Goldizen, 92, of Cabins, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 12, 2014, at her residence.
She was born in New York, on Jan. 12, 1922, the daughter of the late Kenny and Elva (Cunningham) Mullennex.
She married Paul E. Goldizen, who preceded her in death.
Ms. Goldizen was a graduate of Harman High School and a member of Corners United Methodist Church in Cabins. She owned and operated Goldizen Cabins in Cabins.
Ms. Goldizen is survived by a sister, Gayle Hedrick of Salem, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Tammy Goldizen; a brother, Sterlie Mullennex; and two sisters, Nellie Kimble and Mildred Kimble.
Ms. Goldizen's family received friends Thursday, Aug. 14, at Basagic Funeral Home in Petersburg. Graveside services were Thursday at 2 p.m. in Lahmansville Cemetery in Lahmansville with Pastor Bob Rexrode officiating. Interment
