Mildred Mae Cox, 94, of White Sulphur Springs, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014, in Allegheny Regional Hospital in Low Moor, Va.
Mrs. Cox was born July 26, 1920, in Elkins, and was the daughter of the late Ray Emery and Mamie Miller Yeager.
She was a member of Durbin United Methodist Church and was retired from Hanover Shoe Co.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George "Max" Cox.
Surviving Mrs. Cox are her daughter, Janet S. (Jacky Sr.) Varner of Millville, N.J.; her son, William M. (Juanita) Cox of White Sulphur Springs; grandchildren, David (Donna) Warner, Gina (Jim) Cavender, Michael (Karen) Cox, Jodi (Hurley) Campbell, Jack Jr. (Sharon) Varner and Kendra (Gregg) Bostard; and 17 great-grandchildren and 10 great great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, Aug. 29, at 1 p.m. in Elkins Memorial Gardens (formerly the IOOF Cemetery) in Elkins with Pastor David Rittenhouse officiating. Per her request, there will be no visitation.
