Adelaide Sue Billig "Addie" Scott, 59, a resident of Elkins, departed this life Wednesday, Aug. 27, 2014, at her home. She had been in declining health although death was unexpected.
She was born Friday, Dec. 10, 1954, at Washington, D.C., a daughter of the late William Paul Billig Sr., and Juanita Jean Travise
Surviving are one son, Chad Matthew Scott and wife, Crystal, of Elkins; one sister, Terry Lynn Nestler and husband, John, of Elkins; six grandchildren, Jessica Nicole Morgan and husband, Randy, Brandon Matthew Scott, Hunter Bryan Scott, Natalie Jane Halterman, Devin Gage Scott and Charleigh Breeze Halterman; and one nephew, Joshua Lee Billig and wife, Hilda, Andrews, Texas.
Preceding her in death were one brother, William Paul "Boogie" Billig Jr. and one grandson, Trevor Matthew Scott.
She attended the schools of Marshall County and was a graduate of Elkins High School with the class of 1972. She had worked in purchasing at Davis Memorial Hospital for many years and loved the Outer Banks.
The family will receive friends at Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins from 5-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 30. A funeral service will be conducted at the funeral home Saturday at 7 p.m. The Rev. Dr. Basil A. Hensley will officiate, and cremation will follow.
