Master Naturalists scheduled to meet

Do you love nature? Want to learn about and share you knowledge of West Virginia’s flora, fauna, and unique habitats with others? The Tygart Valley Master Naturalist program is designed to educate volunteers in the fundamentals of natural history, nature interpretation and teaching, and to instill the importance of responsible environmental stewardship.

Volunteers can contribute to the scientific knowledge needed to conserve West Virginia’s natural resources and share what they learn about the natural world with others. Volunteers also share their knowledge at community events and with Randolph County students.

How can you join? The Tygart Valley Master Naturalists Chapter holds monthly classes from March – November.

The first class is on Saturday, March 22. Classes run from 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Classes are held at the Elkins DNR Operations Center, at 738 Ward Road. If you can’t make the March class, then please join in at the April 12 class.

Starting at $3.92/week.
