Peet joins Elkins Rotary Club

The Rotary Club of Elkins welcomed Owen Peet, facility manager at the Phil Gainer Center, to its membership. Peet joined the Phil Gainer Center staff in January 2025. Prior to being named to that position, Peet served four years as the youth development coordinator for the Elkins Parks and Recreation Commission.

Peet is a graduate of Davis & Elkins College, having earned his B.S. degree in sustainability studies in 2017. While a student, Peet was named to the Dean’s list and participated in a number of Division of Fine and Performing Arts productions.

An active member of the local community, Peet currently serves as President of the Family Resource Network Board and served two years the AmeriCorps program in Elkins from 2016 to 2018.

“I am super excited to be a part of this organization that aims to better serve this community. I hope to help in any capacity that I am able and look forward to the years to come,” said Peet.

Peet is an outdoor enthusiast, enjoying hiking, biking, skiing, and many more outdoors activities.

Peet’s sponsoring Rotary member was Chris Lee, the Elkins area program coordinator for Ascend West Virginia.
