Belan fires in 38 points as Lady Tigers best Lincoln, 56-50
SHINNSTON — Maddie Belan ripped the nets for a career-high 38 points as Elkins claimed a 56-50 Big 10 Conference win over Lincoln on Wednesday night.
Belan hit five treys on the night for the Lady Tigers, who led 28-23 at halftime and 39-32 after three quarters.
Emma Gilbert just missed double figures with nine.
Elkins built a 14-10 advantage after one quarter.
Riley Pearlman led the Lady Cougars, who dropped to 2-2 overall and 0-1 in Big 10 games, with 17 points.
The Lady Tigers (2-1, 2-0 Big 10) will return home at 7:30 p.m. Friday to face Liberty for another league contest.
